The Gospel Message
- EVERY MAN IS A SINNER. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
- THERE IS AN ETERNAL PENALTY FOR SIN. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
- BECAUSE JESUS CHRIST PAID THE PENALTY FOR SIN ON THE CROSS OF CALVARY, GOD OFFERS EVERY MAN THE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
- NO MAN DESERVES GOD’S GIFT, NOR CAN HE EARN IT. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us. (Titus 3:5)
- A MAN MUST SIMPLY RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AS SAVIOR AND LORD, IF HE IS TO HAVE THE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13) He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. (I John 5:12)
If you desire to be saved, you can call on the Lord by praying something like the following prayer in your own words. Reading a prayer will not save you, but if you pray that prayer and it expresses the belief and desire of your heart, the Lord will save you
Dear Lord, I acknowledge that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sin against you. I believe Jesus, your perfect Son, died in my place on the cross, and right now I invite him into my life, and ask you to save me for His sake, amen.
